We have compiled a list of national and Michigan based organizations that can provide funding for a wheelchair accessible vehicle and accessories. We recommend talking with a Clock Mobility team member to help guide you and provide the total cost of ownership during this process.

VEHICLE MANUFACTURER PROGRAMS

Chrysler and Dodge Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle DriveAbility Program

The Chrysler Dodge DriveAbility program is designed to help customers with a disability enter/exit and operate a new vehicle. Chrysler will give you a $1,000 cash reimbursement when you buy or lease a new Chrysler or Dodge vehicle. This $1,000 will help reduce the cost of installing adaptive equipment. Additionally, they have resources for financing options as well.

Ford Mobility Program

Ford Mobility Motoring offers up to $1,000 in financial assistance toward the cost of the installation of adaptive equipment on a new Ford or Lincoln. The program also offers Ford Credit Mobility Financing and comprehensive Roadside Assistance. To begin the Ford Mobility Motoring process, contact the Ford Mobility Motoring Customer Care Center.

Toyota Mobility Assistance Program

Grants reimbursements of up to $1,000 for aftermarket mobility equipment installed in a purchased or leased Toyota vehicle.

Honda Customer Mobility Assistance Program

Provides up to $1,000 in reimbursement money for mobility modifications to a Honda vehicle.

PROGRAMS IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN

Michigan Rehabilitation Services

Funded by the state of Michigan, Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) specialists at this state agency assist people with occupational therapy and physical therapy. Part of that therapy could include assistance in learning how to use driver assistance tools on your existing vehicle. Additionally there might be coverage for some or all of the adaptations your vehicle needs to make it wheelchair accessible.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS) – Michigan

The Michigan Chapter works to improve the quality of life for people affected by MS and their families and raise funds for critical MS research.

VETERANS FUNDING PROGRAMS

Veterans of all ages and service levels qualify for varying degrees of assistance to purchase the accessible vehicles and equipment they need and deserve.

The Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) offers assistance to veterans in the areas of education, family, federal benefits, finances, healthcare, and jobs.
