Clock Mobility Lansing: Wheelchair Vans, Stairlifts, Permobil Wheelchairs & Home Accessibility

What we offer in Lansing

Wheelchair accessible vans

For years we have served the capital area from our Lansing store. Our salespeople help you compare new and used BraunAbility and VMI side-entry and rear-entry minivans and arrange a test drive. Your current vehicle can go toward the new one as a trade-in, and the finished van can be handed over at the store or delivered to your driveway. See what is in stock on the wheelchair van inventory page; lease and finance offers change monthly, so ask the store for current terms.

Wheelchair van rentals

Lansing is one of our four rental pickup locations. Rent a rear-entry or side-entry minivan or a full-size van for a day, a week, a month or longer, whether for an MSU graduation, a visit to Potter Park Zoo or a stretch of medical appointments; renting is also a good way to try a conversion before buying. Delivery to an agreed location costs extra, and scooters and portable ramps can be added to the rental. Request dates and a quote on the wheelchair van rentals page.

Wheelchair van service

The Lansing service team handles wheelchair vehicle maintenance and repair, plus oil changes and A/C work. The service bay keeps the same hours as the store: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with Saturday by appointment. Bring any conversion, BraunAbility, VMI or other. Book on the service page or call (517) 272-4488 with your conversion type and what you are noticing.

Scooter and wheelchair lifts for your vehicle

A vehicle lift lets you carry a scooter or power wheelchair in the car or SUV you already own. Lansing installs the full Bruno and Harmar range, hitch-mounted or inside the vehicle, and a typical fitting takes 3 to 4 hours depending on make and model. We look at your vehicle, your device and how you load it before suggesting a lift. Compare the options on the vehicle lifts and equipment page, then call the store to arrange a fitting.

AccessATop truck cap and lift

AccessATop is an automatic cap for full-size pickups that raises so a wheelchair or scooter can be loaded into the bed and stays dry while you drive. Many GM, Ford, Ram and Toyota trucks take it, a Braun Turny seat can be added, and the Lansing store handles both the sale and the install. Check the truck applications and bed-length notes on the AccessATop page, then bring your truck details when you call.

Stairlifts

The Lansing store sells and installs Bruno stairlifts for straight, curved and outdoor staircases, with Bruno Certified installers doing the work. The measurement visit is free, usually happens within 24 to 48 hours of your call, and you get a written quote before anything is ordered. Straight rails are kept in stock, so those installs move quickly; a curved rail is built for your staircase and takes 4 to 6 weeks, and most installs take 4 to 8 hours on the day. The stairlifts page covers the Bruno Elan and Elite models and price guidance (straight from around $3,500, curved from around $10,000, labor included).

Home accessibility

To make the front door and porch easier to manage, Lansing sells and installs ramps and Bruno vertical platform lifts. We also sell lift chairs. Bathroom modifications and home elevators are a smaller part of our work, so describe the job and the Lansing team will say whether it is one we take on. Lift chairs are on the lift chairs page; call (517) 272-4488 about a ramp or platform lift.

Permobil power wheelchairs: enquiries welcome

Permobil chairs are made to order, not stocked, and the seating evaluation is done by our ATP, who is based in Grand Rapids and also does fittings at other Clock stores by appointment. Call Lansing first; the team will take your details and help arrange the evaluation. Read about the models and repairs on the Permobil power wheelchairs page.

Paying for your equipment

We work with the VA process for eligible veterans, and we offer financing through BraunAbility Finance; current terms are on the financing page and come from BraunAbility’s website. We accept third-party payment. Clock Mobility is not accredited for commercial medical insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. We do work with insurance companies on auto-accident and other third-party claims; ask the store how that applies to you.
